Need some baby name inspiration? Sometimes all you need is a street sign! Alyssa and her husband came across "Reese Street" in their hometown of Athens, GA and something clicked. Here we are, months later, getting a peek into the gorgeous nursery of their daughter, Reese, now 20 months.
Often the hardest part of designing a room is just getting started: Where do I begin?? What's my palette? I need inspiration!! Alyssa knew she wanted wallpaper and initially imagined a natural, woodland theme. A promising starting point! Until she couldn't find a woodsy wallpaper she loved. Taking a step back, Alyssa pivoted to a wallpaper print she knew wouldn't fail: Rifle Paper's Garden Party (Burgundy). Not only would this design relay the gold accents she loves, but also remind her and her husband of their November wedding florals. It really is so lovely. Alyssa's mood board now filling out with a color palette, coordinating gold mirror and sconces, and board and batten wall detail, the nursery was on its way!
The whole family pitched in to bring Reese's room to life. Alyssa's brother helped hang the wallpaper and everyone put a brush to the wall. "It was a labor of love," Alyssa shared. As the first granddaughter on both her maternal and paternal side, Reese would certainly be welcomed into the family with all worthy warmth and delight.
As Alyssa collected the furnishings and remaining decor, she pulled from a few different directions: artwork gifted from a friend, an old wooden bank passed down from her great grandfather, a thrifted planter turned side table, and dresser from IKEA. She was also sure to showcase her three favorite pieces: wall art from her in-laws, her mom's gold mirror, and her EPC Custom Name Pennant -- that matches the wallpaper, guys. It's so good. "I saw the Rifle Paper and had to have it," Alyssa said simply. In beige, coral, and Garden Rose floral siding, Reese's pennant flows perfectly with the rest of the room.
